WINDOWS 11: THE ALL-SEEING EYE
Microsoft Recall takes screenshots of your desktop every few seconds—your banking sessions, private messages, passwords—storing them in searchable databases. Even if you disable it, anything you send others gets captured on their machines. Beyond Recall, there’s the telemetry you cannot fully disable: health checks, diagnostics, software inventory, browsing history, hardware identifiers, and AI-processed behavioral analysis building profiles of your interests and activities. Windows 11 increasingly requires Microsoft account sign-in and cloud integration, treating your PC as a telemetry pipeline feeding corporate AI models. With Windows you’re a permissioned user; you’re chained by licensing; your permission hinging on whether you commit “hate speech” per the Microsoft Services Agreement.
MACOS: THE BRUSHED-ALUMINUM PRISON
Every time you launch an application, macOS sends an unencrypted request to Apple’s servers containing that application’s certificate information—meaning Apple knows what software you run and when. They promised to stop logging IP addresses after being caught in 2020. Apple’s notarization system means they review and can remotely disable any software you install; your computer asks permission to run code you chose. You cannot audit the kernel or verify what “security” processes are actually doing. You are expected to trust—blindly—an American corporation that doesn’t share your values. The 2020 Apple outage proved what Linux users have known all along: the Mac lease-your-machine model is not a “good compromise.”
LINUX: THE LAST OPERATING SYSTEM WORTH USING
Linux is not just an alternative. It is the only mainstream operating system that respects the user as a sovereign individual rather than a data source.
Free and Open Source: Every line of code is auditable. No black boxes. No “trust us” secure enclaves. The backdoor is mathematically impossible to hide. No restrictive licenses. No permission. Just a rare opportunity to control the software and hardware you own.
User Sovereignty: You own the root. You control the updates. No corporation can remotely disable your software. Your computer obeys you, and only you. You can own this software for self-hosting on multiple devices.
No Telemetry by Design: Most Linux distributions collect nothing by default. No usage statistics. No crash reports. No AI analyzing your behavior. No screenshots. The OS serves you, not its manufacturer.
The Freedom to Modify: Don’t like how something works? Change it. Remove it. Replace it. You are not a user. You are an administrator of your own digital domain.

Just as important: we practice what we preach, so your order on this shop requires only an email address (aliases widely accepted), and a credit card number should you choose to pay in that way.
